Brooke Bryan joined the Bookkeeper Girl team in October 2014 and is the Bookkeeper Girl consultant for the Shreveport, LA, area. Brooke chose to join the Bookkeeper Girl team because it allows her to help people, be proud of her work, and have the freedom to be involved in her family’s lives.
Brooke began her career as a financial planner for Primerica, where she helped families become properly protected, debt free, and financially independent. She next moved to Regions Bank as an Assistant Manager and then to McElroy Metal Mill, Inc. as a Corporate Accounts Payable Manager. One of the things she most liked about this position was the people interaction, helping people solve problems. Brooke rounded out her corporate career with positions with Allstate and BRFHH Healthcare Services.
Brooke took her first step into entrepreneurship when she purchased Moonshadow Acres in 2012 – a working farm with crops and livestock. Brooke has always believed that the only way to be free is to work for yourself and that takes strength. Brooke has a strength born of the discipline to work harder and longer than most, and she does this while still spending time with her family and going to school full time to get an accounting degree.
Although she loves Moonshadow Acres, Brooke missed being in the financial world. In October 2014, she decided to join Bookkeeper Girl, to help people with the financial aspect of their business while still having control over decisions and actually affecting change that will better serve her clients.
